’I am delighted to be selected to join the Council of International Schools (CIS) in recognition of The ECO Seek Foundation Environmental Development Programme as an affiliated consultant. Our Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting ecological sustainable development through the future leaders of tomorrow.
This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver our goal in enabling students to discover and unlock their potential to environmental sustainable solutions within the wider international educational community”.
As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Chris formed the ECO Seek Foundation to create the core values of sustainable improvement. He designed continuous improvement programmes within the context of the educational curriculum, recognising the opportunity to create an International community pioneering environmental sustainable solutions for the future.
"The ECO Seek Foundation was created to provide access to resources, structure, networks and a continuous improvement development programme to challenge real environmental issues in schools and other educational facilities.
Our foundation promotes student development and leadership through sustainable continuous improvement within the context of the current educational curriculum.
The ECO Seek Foundation strives to facilitate and encourage interaction through an international network of educators, contacts and supporting organisations, at every level of the educational platform, from Key Stage 1-5, anywhere in the world".
An essential aspect of the ECO Seek Foundation work is to merge education, knowledge, cross curricular activity and student development with the everyday activities and practices of the international education community.
Environmental awareness should be encouraged throughout society and especially within the global youth population. Building tomorrows leaders is the most important task at hand in the world today.
The objective of their unique development programme, the International Schools Standard of ECO Environmental Knowledge (ISSEEK) 2030, is to implement a consistent approach to environmental continuous improvement and future sustainability within schools.
In conjunction with this, two Individual Standard of ECO Environmental Knowledge (ISEEK & JISEEK) award schemes were created. These are designed as a vehicle of cultural change to encourage a structured phased approach facilitating development of engaged, empowered individuals and groups of young people of all ages within education.
By creating these opportunities for young people to develop themselves linked to real environmental management global issues, it is envisioned that the success and continual development with experience gained, will become a vehicle for environmental awareness and future cultural change.
The ECO Seek Foundation is gaining momentum within the International schools’ community and welcomes all types of schools, further education institutions and supportive organisations to join us in our vision of environmental continuous improvement excellence.
